History of Jammin’ Events

Jammin’ is a fun and exciting outreach that is built around reaching our community with the message of Jesus Christ. Jammin’ is a unique outreach best described as a combination of an NBA all-star weekend and a major evangelistic outreach. All ages will love the dynamic approach of Jammin’ which historically features some of Christian music’s finest bands and NBA players. The players thrill the crowd as they take to the court for basketball demonstrations, dunks, shootouts and culminate with sharing their own personal testimonies of what Christ has meant in their lives. Jammin’ is a night of fun, great music, powerful testimonies and a message of hope by Jammin’ co-founder Steve Jamison. Thousands have responded to Christ at Jammin’ events held around the country.

Jammin’ began in 1993 in San Antonio, Texas with NBA stars David Robinson, Avery Johnson, David Wood and AC Green. Since that time we have held Jammin’ at the invitation of local NBA players in arenas across the country, including two events in Madison Square Garden, the Verizon Center in D.C., Key Arena, Safeco Field, the Rose Garden, the Shottenstein Center on the campus of The Ohio State University, and others.
